Our optometrists are trained to assess and manage a wide range of urgent eye conditions. During your emergency appointment, we'll:
Take a detailed history of your symptoms.
Carry out the necessary clinical tests.
Provide treatment, advice, or an urgent referral if specialist care is needed.
Many eye emergencies can be handled without a trip to A&E, saving you time and ensuring you're seen by someone with specialist eye-care training.

If you have any of the following we can see you for emergency eye care in our Southwell practice:
Red Eye/Eyelids: Inflammation, conjunctivitis, or unexplained red eye.
Recent Flashes/Floaters: Sudden onset, particularly if they appear like flies, spots, or cobwebs.
